The Barn

The Barn

It was a damp Sunday afternoon in January, mist and drizzle clinging to the hills.  TJ and I had already lucked out at our first location (the developers had moved in – another shoot place gone) and we were heading for the second when we spotted the barn.  Nothing shouts “disused” more than broken or glassless windows, and the house beside it didn’t look too clever, so we stopped a short distance up the road and walked back.

It became obvious that the house was occupied, but the barn looked so enticing that we took a chance and asked permission.  Christopher, the owner, thanked us for asking and said yes.  What a wonderful place for a one-off, cracking shoot.
